Windows Phone Period Tracker Calendar Bug

by

Update: Period Tracker v 1.2 that fixes the hidden calendar issue is now available in the Windows Phone Store. If you were affected by this issue, please do not delete your app but go to the Windows Phone Store and download the latest update. This will fix the issue while preserving all of your past data. Thank you for your patience.

We discovered a bug in our Windows Phone app where starting in 2013, the calendar is hidden and the add note function is not working. Though you may not be able to see your past notes, they are safe as long as you do not delete your app from your phone.

We uploaded an update last night to the Windows Marketplace that fixes these issues. We are waiting for Microsoft to review and approve the update. In the meantime, please do not delete your app as this will cause you to lose your past information. When the update is available, please download it to fix the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Period Tracker Deluxe (iOS) 8.4 update uploaded and waiting for approval

by

This past week we uploaded a 8.4 update for Period Tracker Deluxe (iOS). In this update we’ve added support for the iPhone 5 screen resolution (taller screen). We’ve also made several social improvements like adding a vote down button and adding the ability to add links to other posts in your post. We also fixed a lot of bugs.

Hopefully Apple will approve the update soon and it will go live immediately after approval.

8.3 update for Period Tracker Deluxe (iOS) almost ready for upload

by

We’re at work on an 8.3 update that will remove the add note confirmation page and allow users to hide the social tab. Sorry for the inconvenience. We’re planning to upload the update by 8/21 and receive approval from Apple about a 7-10 days after that.

Period Tracker Deluxe (8.2 social update)

by

We just released and update to Period Tracker Deluxe (iOS, version 8.2) with a social feature where users can post questions, tips, and chat with each other. Our hope and goal with Period Tracker Social is to allow our users a place where we can really help each other, have fun and make new friends.

We’d like to spend some time to address some questions and concerns you may have about our latest Social update.

1. Crashes:
8/10/12 10am update – We discovered the reason for some users experiences crashing at app launch. It appears to affect users who have the Companion mode enabled (Setting/Data/Companion). Companion mode (although not supported anymore) uses a google api that has been deprecated by Google and appears to no longer work. We have uploaded a 8.2.1 version and it is now waiting for Apple review. We have submitted an expedited review request and hope to have the update approved soon.
8/10/12 5pm update – 8.2.1 (iOS Deluxe) was just approved by Apple and fixes the crash bug.

2. Privacy: We’ve received some complaints about the Add Note confirmation page that shows relevant posts from other users. We are simply showing some of the latest posts from the symptoms you marked for that day. We are not uploading or sharing any of your private data. To users who find this page annoying, we are looking into adding the option to remove this page in a future update.

3. Embarrassment Factor: Some of you might be embarrassed by the idea of having a social feature inside Period Tracker. However, most of the groups and conversations inside social are centered around asking questions and sharing tips about our health, symptoms, and goals. For example, we learned a great tip about losing weight from a user who says she lost 17 pounds in a month from drinking a blended tomatoes before every meal. In addition to this, there are also groups just to have fun and get to know other users better. And of course there are groups to help each other and share stories on how to overcome health-related issues and even try to conceive.

4. Safety: Some of you may have concerns over the quality of the posts in the social section, maybe for younger eyes or even for ourselves. This is a huge priority for us. We are actively moderating the posts but are also looking for moderators to help keep spammers and inappropriate/negative behavior and comments out. To apply to be a moderator, please go to any group and press the settings button.

If you have any other thoughts or questions, please contact us. We are actively working on Period Tracker Social to be a place where we give value to each other, encourage each other, and help each other.

Announcing Period Tracker for Windows Phone

by

We’re excited to announce the release of Period Tracker for Windows Phone. Our app has been completely redesigned to match the Metro design feel, and we think women with Windows Phone will love it.

We occasionally get emails asking us how to transfer data when moving phones. Just make sure you’ve registered for an online backup account in your app (Settings/Data/Backup). Right before you change phones, do a manual online backup on your old phone. Then, after downloading Period Tracker on your new phone, just login to your online backup account and it will import your data. It’s as easy as that.

Period Tracker for Windows phone is available now at the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Next major version of Period Tracker coming soon to iOS

by

We’ve been busy at work developing social features to Period Tracker that we will include in our next update.

The vision of Period Tracker has always been about helping people. The first version of Period Tracker back in 2008 was about helping women simply track their cycles so they can know they bodies and patterns better. Later in the second major revision of Period Tracker we wanted to help women track their total health (ie., symptoms, moods, weight, notes, etc) to help them improve their health.

In this next major revision of Period Tracker (available initially for iOS), we want to take it to the next level and really help people get healthier. Our social features will make it easy for people to engage with others and find the information they need.

If you’ve been a Period Tracker fan, then we hope you’re excited about this upcoming release. We’re shooting to have it in the iOS Appstore by the end of August. So, stay tuned!

Period Tracker HD for iPad

by

Period Tracker HD for iPad is now available on the iPad ($1.99).

We’ve redesigned the app specifically to take advantage of the bigger iPad screen.

One of our favorite features is that you can see your calendar and notes page all on the same page.  Taking notes is so much easier, and typing notes is even easier on the iPad.

We’ve also completely redesigned the Charts feature and have created an incredibly useful all-in-one chart that lets you chart various items against others.  You can chart your symptoms across your cycle days and see correlations.

We also have an easy way to import and export your data for frequent use.
