Why should I verify my account?
Occasionally we will require a user to confirm their account with a valid ID. This can occur when we receive one or more reports questioning the veracity of a user’s claims.
If you have received an email requesting verification of your identity, please do not be alarmed. It is a simple process of sending enough information for us to verify your identity. We’ve modeled this identity verification process off of other social networks like Facebook (see link).
*If you have received an email requesting verification, and you are indeed who you have stated to be and have not posted fake information about yourself, we apologize for this inconvenience. It is a necessary method we have chosen to adopt in order to protect the integrity and trust that our community thrives on. We have unfortunately had a small minority of users in the past who have posted fake stories and derailed conversations to the detriment and hurt of other members. These minority of users have done harmful actions such as pretending to be pregnant or miscarrying and even impersonating a real person which is illegal. This account verification process is a way to protect all of our users’ experiences, including yours.

We require everyone using PTracker Social to be who they say they are. This includes not posting falsified stories about themselves and/or impersonality other people. We use the ID account verification as a method to secure the veracity of a user’s claims and identity if they have received one or more reports questioning their stories.
